Catch me...I'm losing my mind...haha

We just couldn't skip it...and although my friend and I were not really making a big fuss on this day (I mean its not one of those national holidays we really look into and celebrate you know), in the end we couldn't think of anything that would best describe what hit and bit us last night =) and we can only say ha^ha (as if telling ourselves we should have seen it coming).

BUT ALAS WE DIDN'T, when Maru and I bought our tickets last night. It was a date that was actually planned! perhaps postponed twice, first because I was still groaning at the idea of spending a little bit overboard for a spontaneous weekend getaway in Baguio (that's gonna have to take another blog episode) and second because my friend was absent.

So finally, when we were both sober about our reasons, April 1, 2011 came and we knew that after office hours, with no more excuses left, we would be heading to the Cinema either SM mega or Shangrila because for the heck of it, we decided to watch "Catch Me I'm in Love"

Okay, maybe it was first, because we gotta give it to the "catchy" title, we know love stories have long replaced action movies for Filipino box office in at least the last four years and two, it is after all Gerald smokin' hot Anderson and Sarah is someone we just couldn't afford to hate just yet...also, all of a sudden my friend and I have been bitten by the "love bug" (sorry Maru I gotta admit that.haha. But to top it all, our boss simply just recommended it too! (Sorry ma'am I also got to put some blame on you harhar)...

Yet after more than 2 excruciating hours, we went out of the Cinema with Maru starting to have a migraine and me still dumbfounded promising not to compel ourselves to watch those sappy tagalog movies in the big screen again (although it was mostly my friend promising *wink)but we were really in a trance-irked state that we had to suffer and take all the lousiness of the storyline! Yeah, I think the debut of Gerald-Sarah love team certainly deserved something better than that movie we watched last night. For one, the first scene which was supposedly Sarah's dream was something that could be more of a fantasy daydream rather than those recurring dreams that happens in our regular night sleep... duh! and two, the idea of featuring a First Family in this Country with a "colorful" political scenario other than an idealistic picture of a perfect father president, a supporting first lady and wife plus a handsome son who is to be of course the most eligible bachelor to boot! - is nothing close to something we can at least try to relate. (Tony and Sam Milby's similar beginning in their movie with AiAi and Erap was more forgivable than this one. At least the rest of the scenes were tolerable) but this Catch me i'm in love? ugh! no f***ing way...

Completing the final episode of a so-called dream just in time when you are with the son of the president in an "out of coverage" area...is just simply too good to be true.(could be exciting though, could be forgivable too especially if it's really us we imagine...haha) but when it continues to the part where he was surprised to find out that he was sleeping in a hut and being briefed just shortly before that immersion was simply something unforgivable if you are a member of the PMS (okay okay it's not like everyone should and would know how these people work) but it doesn't stop there because even if the appearance of the PSG are somehow convincing and all, there is no way we can forgive the lack of security in their actions! hell, the idea of a crazy L300 mitsubishi small truck blocking the vehicle of the president's son in a highway is a report that can cause a stroke to the heads of the PMS and PSG...haha

But wait! there's more! hahaha the fateful role of Matteo "rapper" Guidicelli who earned the honor himself of being the only other character to be featured in the banner poster of the film as if warning everyone that his presence could be the life changing twist and conflict of the film also failed us...sorry guys, a bronzed or rather too tanned and rapping Guidicelli was also something we could not stomach...

The "can you be my girlfriend?"-scene was simply passé...that totally brought me in particular sliding down my chair and uttering "graduate na 'ko dito"... i'm not sure how many times i told that to Maru and I also could not count how many times she elbowed me for the scenes that I'm sure was lashing thru her IQ and EQ level!!! hahaha

Well, there were of course considerable scenes, Sarah's door fiasco was not bad,her role was actually nice too...Gerald in fact pulled-off well the afraid-of-heights and in general his I'm-the-son-the-president-candor. The I'm-sorry-my-obligations-get-in-the-way-of-the-relationship-scenarios, Sarah's insecurities...BUT all in all, the storyline just didn't able to hit it. Sorry guys...

And so, after my friend's similar episode of getting dizzy because of the 5 levels of escalators we had to conquer on our way to Shangrila Cineplex to check on the schedule but deciding against it and instead proceeding to SM Mega and ended in the same schedule that will allow us having dinner for an hour at Bigby's only to be seated beside a table of lovers (noting the confidence of the girl...haha a funny joke just between Maru and me) and later the table being replaced by one big happy family (more self pity...haha) and no calls yet (ahemmm...) the April Fools' Day drama for my friend did not just end there...I later found out when I arrived after walking from Mega to Brgy. San Antonio, (gosh confidently alone in the streets of manila at 12:00 midnight...goodluck if my parents reads this)anyway, only to find out from my friend's text that she ended up in a cab with a stash of "it-that-should-not-be-named" especially publicly and the driver justifying its presence on the cab and offering her to have it to boot!!! wow my friend could not be more stoned...haha

At any rate let's just go back to the movie or rather the reactions of the girls while Maru was on the line in the restrooms...all the "kilig" and "narrate it to us" factors where still there...and I'm pretty sure these girls have boyfriends or at least both my friend and I suspects...
So
So...i don't know...haha then again, maybe its just us...sigh*

Yikes I think I'm really losing my mind...haha
