About a year after I left Bohol to work in Manila, I am once again haunted by this diet routine that Sir Inciong first introduced to me. . .
I thought back then, well maybe this is easier to do because I am away from home (Bohol) and restricting or limiting the food or my eating habits would not pass through my mom's unsaid law against "dieting" - since for her, dieting is rather more on "not eating" or preventing yourself from eating hence my extra pounds(wink).
Anyway, it was not until my current boss has done it more than once, that she encouraged the rest of us to do it also. Then I realized, its almost a year since I promised myself I'd try doing it (haha) and it took for it to be somehow a command from a boss before I finally got to try it...(at least try)
So, for the next 7 days...Yes, I am going on a diet! the General Motor's diet...good luck...
1st Day - All fruits except banana

Yesterday after I left the office from a brief overtime, Maru and Chard dropped me off at SM Megamall because I told them I had to buy the fruits I need for the 1st day of torture oh rather diet...But when I set foot at Mega, my body was just attuned to the hobby of going to the cinemas (haha) and so I had to go up and buy a ticket first before proceeding to the groceries. I had 45 minutes to before the show yet I was a 3 minutes late when I came in and bringing not much of the fruits I wanted to eat the 1st day. So after the movie, I went back to the main grocery and stopped right at the Fruit cocktail Area (not the one in the can of course as it has a lot of sugar I might as well not go on a diet) before heading back at the boarding house.
1st day of 7 not bad at all, except that...(here we go)
First, it was more of the urge I was fighting and not the hunger. The smell of "paksiw" (inun-unan in our dialect) was really scorching through my stomach when I entered our room after I took a bath. Hermi my room mate was on a rice less diet and I can't believe of all the viand, she chose paksiw not to go with rice! whew (I think Pinoys in general will wince at that idea)
Second, I was changing a routine that I have gotten used to since I left Bohol. I have been a fan of big breakfast, medium lunch and small to zero dinner already and I must admit, it went well for my skin, appetite and overall physical feeling.
Third, the fruits I bought the day before started to ferment since I had no fridge and I forgot that the spoon I used to get the several fruits from the choices was also the same spoon used to get the cream for those who wanted a creamy fruit salad. So I had to hurry and eat them all before they went sour.
I had grapes and a pear for breakfast and morning snacks, a cocktail of watermelon, apple, grapes and all other fruits except banana until the evening.
At 9 pm, I went home with a throbbing headache...not hungry-promise(haha defensive) but I was really craving for coffee, chocolate and pastries. I dropped by mini-stop to get an e-load and passed by the racks of cookies with half of my brain telling me "your office mates will never know you broke the law". Fortunately, my hand was not participating with my brain so I left mini stop and went to bed directly not washing my face and shut my eyes for awhile convincing myself, you started this, you might as well do it and be done with it.
And so I passed the 1st day...
